The difference between a hero and a champion...It's just a matter of time. Both characters require a troubling and scary crisis.

Heroes are sometimes created in an instant in a sudden and shortlived crisis. Champions are created in a longer crisis, more long term workers who create an environment and sense of worth over a long period of time. A hero in real estate might be someone who saves a small child in a tragic apartment fire. A champion might be a person who saves an entire building by careful attention to details and a realistic plan for it's salvation.
